In the 1970s, Momin Khan and Sons founded Sunny Enterprises by establishing two general businesses in the Wah Cantt area of Northern Punjab, Pakistan. From the beginning, the family had infused its company with strong core values and business principles and ensured to provide the best quality products in the region.

The company quickly expanded into industrial projects and diversified its portfolio to the general trading business in the 1990s. After successfully running different portfolios, Sunny Enterprises established its business in general trading and agricultural produce during the same period. With time, the fresh blood of the new generation joined in; the company grew by leaps and bounds over the next few years.
In 2020, Sunny Enterprises established SMARTROOT INDUSTRIES as a newly registered entity in Pakistan, and United Arab Emirates (UAE), and Africa intending to broaden the nature of business beyond general business. The company continued to embark upon its business expansion plan by entering Food and Beverages business. SMARTROOT INDUSTRIES is committed to its long history of producing quality products, i.e., food and beverages, for its customers in Pakistan, Central Asia, and Africa.
